  1. Pythagoras’theorem Byashleeandkate

  2. Who?! Who is Pythagoras? Pythagoras lived in the 500’s BC and was one of the first Greek mathematicians. Most of the information about Pythagoras was recorded after he lived so most of the information we have is unreliable. Pythagoras’ death is still unknown but some say that he may have travelled widely in his youth, visiting places to gain knowledge.

  3. Why?! Why is Pythagoras’ theorem useful? If we know the lengths of the two sides of a right angled triangle, we can find the length of the third side. But it only works on right angles triangles. • Finding the difference between points on a plane, converting between polar and rectangular coordinates, computing perimeters, surface areas and volumes of various geometric shapes. • Or; • Construction- carpenters, electricians and glaziers • Farming- agricultural workers • Installation- installing and repairing • Production- welding, soldering, brazing workers and machinists • Professional- mathematicians, engineers, lawyers and vets
