  • Originated just west of the Cayman Islands on August 14.
  • Hit Cuba as a Category 3 on August 15.
  • On August 17th it made land fall along the Mississippi Coast as a Category 5.
  • Moved through Tennessee, Kentucky, West Virginia and Virginia before moving to the Atlantic on August 20th.
