  2. Purpose • To describe telehealth briefly, especially the potential benefits • To ensure there is full support for the use of telehealth in E Surrey

Current situation • £3.9m budget set aside for telehealth, expires 31/03/13 • Developed procurement strategy, incl detailed requirements; start early July • Stakeholder/comms plan being finalised • Developing telehealth business cases • Care pathway meetings where requested • Integrate with risk stratification

  11. WSD telehealth – Initial results • 15% reduction in A&E visits • 20% reduction in emergency admissions • 14% reduction in elective admissions • 14% reduction in bed days • 8% reduction in tariff costs • 45% reduction in mortality rates Still nothing published on telecare benefits
