  1. October 2013: Lady Alma is growing up SO quickly!

  2. Circus child in action!

  3. Both girls enjoyed the circus game – time for the lion taming!

  4. This month, probably due to a growth spurt, Alma fell down a lot and bumped into a lot of furniture. So we added another ice pack to our collection: A tiger gel pack!

  5. Alma enjoyed playing shop at day care so much she asked that we continue the game at home. I sorted items for her into separate shelves and gave them prices and she could sell them to Hahgoot. What she really likes is handling the money...

  6. Collage, letter and drawing by Alma. Bottom: Alma said that was an illustration to the song “The Incy Wincy Spider”. I can certainly see a spider web...

  7. Alma has a lot of self motivation when it comes to doing workbooks and usually finishes a few pages in one sitting.

  8. We continued the “dictionary project”: We got to the letter Bet (we aren’t spending a lot of time on this so it is going really slowly).

  9. We took on loan from Alma’s day care an educational kit called “WordWand”. This cool device enables you to record up to 10 words, sounds or phrases in any language and then the child can listen to each one at a time and place the “wand” over the picture or word and gets a sound if he did it right or wrong. Excellent game and good fun!

  10. Alma LOVED it! It’s a great multi sensory device that works well with how she learns. She could record on it by herself, both in English and in Hebrew, and I could see how well she could recognize letters and pictures.

  11. Playing with the letters of her name in Hebrew. I scrambled them and she had to sort them back in order. She can even recognize the difference between the letters “Ain” and “Tzadei”, which are very similar. In our next presentation: More of Alma’s learning experiences
