Education • Giessen American High School in Giessen, Germany. • Elon University from 1994-1998, studying Sports Medicine with a concentration in Exercise Sports Science. • Guilford Technical Community College from 1998-2000 studying Emergency Medicine, received my Associate’s of Applied Science.

Education (cont.) • Elon University: • Sports Medicine (started AT track – thinking AT or PT) • Anatomy & Physiology, Lab Asst., Kinesiology, Microbiology, Sports Medicine Research, Health of the Body Systems, Internships. Education (cont.) • Guilford Technical Community College • Majored in Emergency Medicine, AAS degree • All my Elon courses transferred • Worked full time 24 hour shifts starting in 2/99 • Went to classes on my “off” days • Took only EMS classes because of my Bachelor’s Degree (core classes), Cardiology, pt assessment, trauma….   5. Credentialing • Took my EMT-Basic exam at a testing center • Written and scenario based • Took my EMT-Paramedic exam at a testing center • Written and scenario based • Took my NREMT-P in Charlotte • Written and scenario based

  7. Employment with GCEMS • 24 hour shifts • Job duties: mentor and train students and new employees, narcotic accountability, pt care (BLS & ALS), medic duty • Salary & earning potential: ~ $30K/year starting
