  2. Oncology is an important profession which medically takes care and treats patients suffering from cancer. Patients approaching oncologists suffer from cancer which might have occurred on different parts of their body which may include lungs, eyes, skin, tongues or other parts of the body. The doctor in this profession is trained to diagnose the symptoms if any appearing within the body, finding out areas getting affected because of cancer, then finding viable treatment which shall be used to prevent patients who are suffering from such a disease. Doctors pursuing this profession can also choose to specialize in a specific field and thus become master in a single field of cancer.

  3. A patient, who has been lately diagnosed cancer by the oncologist Indiana, comes in contact with the oncology nurse to start off with the treatment. The nurse in first meeting notes down the medical history of the patient, carries out any lab test if required and also studies overall condition of the patient be it physically or emotionally. For all the proceedings done, a proper record is maintained of the same and it is presented to the doctor. The nurse is also responsible for educating the patient about how patient can take care of himself and also what things should be done which can help in improve situation of the patient.
