  2. ABOUT CERVICAL CANCER Cervical cancer occurs when the cells of the cervix grow abnormally and invade other tissues and organs of the body. When it is invasive, this cancer affects the deeper tissues of the cervix and may have spread to other parts of the body (metastasis), most notably the lungs, liver, bladder, vagi na, and rectum.

  3. CERVICAL CANCER SYMPTOMS Abnormal vaginal bleeding, such as after intercourse, between menstrual periods, or after menopause; menstrual periods may be heavier and last longer than normal. Pain during intercourse. Vaginal discharge and odor. Pelvic pain Lower back pain

  4. Radiation therapy with chemotherapy given at the same time. Radical hysterectomy and removal of pelvic lymph nodes with or without radiation therapy to the pelvis, plus chemotherapy.
