BKR International Standards Committee The past year • Updated Charter: • Assist with reviewing prospective members • Provide updates on changes to ethical, audit, accounting and other standards • Provide assistance as requested by member firms to comply with standards • To prepare a calendar of training events at a regional level for members to attend as part of regional conferences or other specified training events • To review and approve mission statements prepared by the regional standards committees

Regional Committees EMEA • During the year the EMEA regional committee has undertaken the following: • Held Audit Meeting in Amsterdam in November 2011. • Held Audit Breakout session in May 2012 during EMEA Regional Meeting in Malta. • Maintained documentation in the resources and EGIAN section of the EMEA website. • Participated in the quarterly Accounting and Audit Update Newsletter. • Planning the 2012 Audit Meeting which will be held in November also in Amsterdam.

Regional Committees AMERICAS During the year the Americas regional committee: • Reviewed 10 U.S. peer review reports. • Held an Accounting and Audit training session at the Americas regional meeting. These are held at each meeting. • Conducted SEC teleseminars as needed. • The Latin members are interested in forming an IFRS Subcommittee.

Regional Committees ASIA PACIFIC During the year the Asia Pacific regional committee has undertaken the following: • Participated in the quarterly Accounting and Audit Update Newsletter. • Presented a training session at the 2012 Asia Pacific Region Conference in Bali Indonesia on Top 10 issues to improve quality of audit files. Planning to present a session on professional scepticism at 2013 conference in Penang, Malaysia. • Attended to queries posted through the member requests section of www.bkr.com • Annual training day held in Melbourne Australia for members in Australia and New Zealand in December 2011 via Walker Wayland. Planned for February 2012 again in Melbourne, Australia.
