  4. Add policy • The general campus deadline to add an undergraduate course is the end of the 3rd week of classes.  An earlier course add deadline may be imposed by the instructor, so be sure to carefully read WebSOC notes and the course syllabus. A request to add a course AFTER the unique course deadline or the end of week 3 must be initiated using the on-line Enrollment Exceptions system, and will require review and approvals by the course instructor, the Dean of the School that is offering the course and the Dean of the School that houses your major. 

  5. Drop policy • The general deadline to drop an undergraduate course is the end of the 2nd week of classes.  An earlier course drop deadline may be imposed by the instructor, so be sure to carefully read WebSOC notes and the course syllabus. • A request to drop a course AFTER the unique course deadline or the end of week 2 must be initiated using the on-line Enrollment Exceptions system, and will require review and approvals by the Dean of the School that is offering the course and the Dean of the School that houses your major.

  7. Taking courses outside UCI • Courses may be completed outside of UCI to satisfy general education and elective courses • You must take all major courses at UCI, and for a letter grade (no P/NP). • Check with http://www.assist.org/ to make sure community college courses will transfer! • At least 36 of the last 45 units of your degree must be completed at UCI

Bren School of ICS Academic Honesty Policy • The following examples are considered as academically dishonest: • Copying during an exam or quiz • Copying a person’s homework • Sharing code during a lab assignment • Sharing notes and problem solutions • Any joint effort when individual effort is required. • Do not assume anything, ask questions.

Bren School of ICSE-mail Account • In addition to your UCI account, you will need to active your Bren School of ICS account • To activate your Bren School of ICS e-mail account, bring your UCI student ID card to the Bren School of ICS lab- CS 364. • You will need a Bren School of ICS account in order to use the Bren School of ICS computing facilities and course drop boxes. • The ICSnetID is the same as the Bren School of ICS e-mail name • Example: Peter Anteater • E-mail: panteater@ics.uci.edu • ICSnetID: panteater
