The Idea: Creating the routes • Two routes from Atlanta to Savannah • Start at Sherman’s Battle of Atlanta Headquarters & finish at Forsyth Park in Savannah • Use existing assets • Safety first and above all else. • Keep it as small-bore as possible. Serve the communities and cyclists along the routes. Create an economic development tool on a first name basis. • Inform in a broader context & also cover the nuts ‘n bolts. Use Kindle, paperback, website, & Facebook.

  5. The Two Routes • Include US Hwys, State Hwy’s, County Roads, dirt & paved, 2 lane & 4 lane, multi-use paths. • The Right Wing route is 330 miles and the Left Wing Route is 320 miles. Each route follows somewhat the routes of Sherman’s two armies marching to Savannah. • Each route is divided into 6 day of riding. • Depart Atlanta on Sunday morning, Arrive Savannah Friday afternoon.
