  2. Stare Landmark • The Magic City of the Plains… a name that Cheyenne earned in the golden age of the late 1800s. The elegant accommodations were enjoyed equally by cattle barons and oil tycoons, as well as travelers on their way to Yellowstone and the Grand Tetons.

  3. State Flag • A bison on a blue field bordered in white and red. The state seal branded on the bison. The woman represents the state motto "Equal Rights" and the two men represent cattle ranchers and miners. The words "Livestock", "Mines", "Grains" and "Oil" represent Wyoming's wealth

  4. State Nick name • The nickname for Wyoming is The Equality or Cowboy State the state motto is also Equal Rights. Wyoming was the first state to grant women the right to vote in 1869 (more precisely, women were granted the right to vote so there would be enough voting citizens to meet the population requirement for statehood.
