Scope of Services • Sentara Obici Hospital ED • Regional referral center; full service hospital • 23 Treatment rooms including 4 critical care • Staffed by Emergency Physicians of Tidewater; 100% board certified • Sentara BelleHarbour ED • Full service, 24 hour, ambulance accessible • 17 Treatment rooms including 3 critical care • Staffed by Emergency Physicians of Tidewater; 100% board certified • Combined volume of over 60,000 ED visits in 2010

  3. Focus on Customer Service • NRC Picker Survey • “Overall, how would you rate the care you received in the ED?” • SOH 94.3% positive; 85th percentile • SBLH 95.7% positive; 99th percentile • Focus on Treat and Release Times • ESI 2&3 <= 180 minutes • ESI 4&5 <= 75 minutes

Clinical Initiatives • STEMI • LifeNet Alert • ED STEMI Alert • Cath Lab activation • Interventional Cardiology alert • Lytics as needed • SOH D2B <90 minutes 81% in 2010; 75% D2B Alliance Goal • Stroke • Stroke Alert • tPA mixed and ready for administration • CT obtained; CTA obtained as needed; CTA review by Interventional Radiologist at SNGH • Clinical Core Measures – Cardiac, Pneumonia, Sepsis
