  2. the students had a really super time and gained a great deal from the experience. thanks again for your work to make the invasion happen- it was brilliant and your students were fantastic. Fantastic news, Year 11 achieved XX% 5A*- C.  Maths staff really thrilled, all the intervention came off.  My personal thanks to the support from you and the students, please can you let them know? YY % overall, 6% up on last year.

  3. XXX is organising another Maths Made to Measure meeting with all parties so we could meet up to plan next steps. Also if you would like me to come across to the University and meet tutors or do some work with your SKE students please let me know and I should be able to get something organised. Thank you so much for your help in organising Fridays invasion. It was a fantastic event which 150 of our students attended and the buzz of work in the room was excellent and the whole thing was a huge success. I wanted to take the opportunity to thank and praise the trainees who came along. They absolutely blew me away with their professionalism, organisation and willingness to dive into the spirit of the event. They were remarkable. Every one of them brought a genuine enthusiasm for the subject and worked incredibly hard and with such keen enthusiasm throughout the day that I was amazed. The PGCE and SKE students were a credit to the University and it was a pleasure to work with such an enthusiastic and talented group of people.

  4. TS 2. Promote good progress and outcomes by pupils • be accountable for pupils’ attainment, progress and outcomes • plan teaching to build on pupils’ capabilities and prior knowledge • guide pupils to reflect on the progress they have made and their emerging needs • demonstrate knowledge and understanding of how pupils learn and how this impacts on teaching encourage pupils to take a responsible and conscientious attitude to their own work and study

  5. Closing the Gap Active learning in schools; how are your mentors using the trainees to ensure the most effective pupil progress?

  6. Focussed observations- pupils and trainees benefit.

  7. The English department at XXXXX took the lead in running a highly successful active learning programme, using a wide variety of active learning strategies with classes. Collaborative literacy projects were established with other departments, including art and design, home economics, physics, biology and geography. Since the introduction and wider dissemination of active learning the school has seen improving patterns of attainment, particularly amongst boys.
