Training BEFORE NOW • 8 hour training spread over weekend • 4 hours of microteaching. • Round 1 training (CT+TT) – 8 hours • 2 hours of microteaching • Feedback session • Round 2 Training (TT) – 4 hours • Boosters (multiple) – 1 hour each (based on the need of teachers) Benefits : 1) Crisper and more effective CT & TT. 2) Feedback Session give teachers a hands-on experience of teaching and quick suggestions from core team.

Child Grouping BEFORE NOW • Criteria : Age + entry level test scores + Current Grade Level. • Child moved to next level anyhow • Criteria : Age + Entry level test scores + Current Grade level + PAT scores. • Child is retained in a particular and asked to repeat the level Benefits : 1) PAT score is check point for overall performance. 2) Repeating the level : ensures quality.

  6. 3. Competency Bands BEFORE NOW • Revision classes • Entry level test • Child Regrouping • Allocation of classes randomly • Revision classes • Entry level test • Child regrouping based on competency level of students • Allocation of classes based on age, score and competency level.

  7. Colour Coding of Classes • GREEN = VHC • BLUE = HC • YELLOW = MC • ORANGE = LC • RED = VLC • PURPLE = Mixed Ability

Zero Hour BEFORE NOW • Teachers prepare • Teach • Discuss with teachers • Collaboration time • Defined Structure with specific agenda for an hour • Time allocated for sharing best practices • Class debrief after class for essential learning for next class Benefits : 1) Ensures the basic level of preparation required.

English Program Calendar • To ensure timelines in English Program • Sync the classes and assessments across nation to tap impact • Includes calculated time required for the whole a particular level along with the operational calendar that gives real scenario • Crucial tool to understand timeline, centre authorities, operational challenges in a particular city or a level.

  11. 7. MADapp • New credit policies to support volunteers • Monthly Review to tap progress of every city • Trainings being added to events of MADapp to ensure quality. • Centre Visits by City-EPH and City- Operations will be recorded as event in MADapp
