  5. Evidence of bring guilty • Tony Accardo was in such high power he was never charged for any major crimes • Suspected to have killed many people on many different occasions but people covered up for him • Al Capone was one of Tony's best friends and ordered men to cover for Accardo

  6. What was their Sentence? • The most sentencing Accardo ever got was one night in jail for a motor-vehicle violation

  7. Tony Accardo Quotes • Al Capone said to a colleague of his “Boy, this kids a real Joe Batters”. • This quote was about Accardo and he said it because Accardo was known for using a baseball bat for violent force and he had a deadly swing.

  8. Nicknames • “Joe Batters” he got this nickname form Al Capone because Accardos choice of weapon was a baseball bat • “Big Tuna” he got this nickname because he caught a really big Tuna

  9. Sociological Theory Tony Accardos general type of deviance is formal. He committed crimes such as murder multiple times and also was a gun man in a massacre. These things are obviously against the law making his deviance formal. To break Accardos deviance down further it would be considered to be Differential-Association Theory. At a young age of 14 Accardo joined a street gang that he was with most of his time learning how to be a criminal. Accardo also had a rough childhood giving him wrong morals. Once he got out of the gang he joined the mafia and it became his life. He did very deviant things in the mafia because he was very good at it. We know he was good at it because he was sneaky enough to never be convicted. He was also very high up in the ranks of the mafia. Once he became a professional at being a criminal he was the one of the guys running criminal activity with guys like Al Capone.

  10. Rehabilitation or Punishment If Tony Accardo were alive today he should punished. Accardo was never proven for a ton of crimes everyone knew he committed but didn’t have enough evidence for a conviction. His punishment should have been life in jail because of the multiple beating and murders he committed. Plus he also organized crime in the mafia for other to commit. Since Accardo was involved in crimes so much through out his life I don’t think trying to change him would have done much. Accardo literally grew up committing crimes and I think it was way to late to try and make him a better person.
