  3. ACCOMMODATIONS • Shared with other medical learners. • Furnished and completely stocked with kitchen supplies/utensils. • Linens (towels, washcloths, bedding). May bring your own bedding & linens if you wish. • Cleaning supplies, laundry facilities. • Local phone service, basic cable, wireless high speed internet and parking. • Smoking and pets are not allowed. • Please do not remove any contents!

  7. REGIONAL EDUCATION RESPONSIBILITIES • Arrange accommodations for community Core rotations & include info on MEdTech Central. • Extended pager coverage. • Accommodation utilities, supplies, furnishings, rental payments and services. • Standard travel allowances. • Community preceptor stipends.

LEARNERRESPONSIBILITIES • Washing all linens used during your stay. • Cleaning the bathroom. • Cleaning the kitchen including the fridge and discarding any items that may spoil. • Taking out the garbage and recycling. • Return keys at the end of the rotation. The next occupant will expect to find the accommodations neat and tidy!

BGH LEARNERRESPONSIBILITIES Brockville General Hospital requiresthe BGH Application for Clinical Training form be completed 4 weeks priorto start date! • Fully completed BGH Electives Application form (Application for Clinical Training). • Recent photo. • Immunization supporting documentation. Failure to submit all required documentation will result in BGH cancelling your rotation!

  10. REGIONAL EDUCATION FUNDING Arrange Accommodations Provide Travel Support Fund Preceptor Stipend

TRAVEL REIMBURSEMENT • For mandatory core specialty rotations to and from regional communities. • Cost for 1 return trip for each completed 2-week time period is available for reimbursement at our standard allowable amount. • Maintain your expenditure receipts but do not submit those to the Regional Education office. • Submit your online travel reimbursement request at the end of the rotation, not before. Travel reimbursement is contingent upon fulfillment of learner responsibilities!

FUNDING FOR ELECTIVE ROTATIONS • Rotations in central & eastern Ontario of at least 4 weeks in length, are eligible for travel and accommodation funding through ROMP & ERMEP. • ROMP: www.romponline.com • ERMEP: www.ermep.com • Submit an online application ASAP (at least 6 weeks prior to elective start date). • A Letter of Good Standing is required, which can be obtained through the Undergrad office. • Expense Report & Evaluation must be completed.

  13. CLERKSHIP TRAVEL PROGRAM • Up to $1,500 in reimbursement for travel and accommodation expenses for a rotation at an Ontario AHSC that is 100km or more from Kingston. • Available to med students in final 2 years of study. • Minimum 2 week to maximum 12 week rotation. • Available for one rotation per academic year. • Funded by the MOHLTC and administered by HealthForceOntario Marketing and Recruitment Agency (HFO MRA). • healthforceontario.ca/ctp
