  1. Guess what place in London is described. It is in the centre of London. William the Conqueror built it in the eleventh century. It was a fortress, a palace, a prison and the King’s Zoo. Now it is a museum.

  2. Oxford Street It is London’s main shopping centre. You can buy clothes, shoes and toys in it.

  3. Hyde Park It is one of the most popular places for Londoners on hot summer days. It is the largest park in London.

  4. St Paul’s Cathedral It is a beautiful building with many columns and towers. It is one of the great English churches. Sir Christopher Wren built it in the 17th century. It took Sir Christopher Wren 35 years.

  5. Whitehall It is a wide street leading from Trafalgar Square to Parliament Square.

  6. Downing Street, 10 This is a small street which is near Trafalgar Square. The British Prime Minister lives here.

  7. Buckingham Palace The Queen of England lives here. It has 600 rooms. It is a wonderful building with a monument in front of it which is the Queen Victoria Memorial.
