  1. Pie chart of procrastination

  2. molecular or nano computing • There are a few types of nano-computing • the interesting to me is know as molecular computation • The next is molecular electronics • And the final one that I researched is spintronics

  3. Molecular computation • Molecular computation is a whole new way of computing that is similar to the human brain • RanjitPati a physicist at Michigan technological university and a team of researchers came up with a theoretical approach to the molecular computer they have also built a prototype of this theory • In traditional computing the are only two types of conducting states (on or of) • But with molecular computation there are four! • This enables the molecules to communicate with approximately 300 others and capable of doing more than on thing at once

  4. Molecular electronics • In molecular electronics molecules act as super small transistor

  5. Spintronics • In spintronics the spin of an atoms electrons creates the on or off of traditional computation • One way of making this would be to sandwich a nonmagnetic material in-between two layers of magnetic material. • Sending a current through the sandwich would then allow you to alter the spin of the electrons

  6. My project • I have written a short story about a cyberneticaly augmented person that is currently working on an asteroid mine

  7. bibliography • MIT tech review “molecular memory” and “molecular electronics” By David Rotman • Nanotechnow.com • Demetri Martin, “important things” • This will be improved • Professor, Graduate School of Science, The University of Tokyo Masami Hagiya
