The auger is powered by a VFD controlled AC high efficiency motor. The system is geared to provide a very slow rpm of the auger while maintaining mid frequency of the AC motor. This is designed for easy disconnect when removing the auger for color changes.
This shows the silicone wrap and band clamp seal between the glass tube and stainless steel hopper. Silicone has a very long life in the treating environment.
The treated powder resin discharges into customer supplied roller totes or can be setup to discharge directly into Gaylords.

The discharge end of the auger is easily accessed as well. Pull off the “Discharge Tee” and the screw is readily available to be pulled out. The augers are very strong, but are made from light weight materials for easy handling by just two people.
The drive end of the auger is very easy to disconnect. The chain and tension come off and are out of the way for removal of the auger. The hopper end plate is split and slotted for quick release removal through the resin hopper.
