  3. Slocum project Programming Group process • Group of 13 • Students, faculty, student life staff, Residential Life Coordinator, facilities staff, architect, and designer • Began meeting Spring 2012 • Discussed student priorities • Assisted in defining scope • Selected colors & furniture

Project Scope & Timeline • HVAC/Sustainability • Plumbing • Lighting • Bathrooms • Controls • Windows & Window Coverings • Landscaping • Outdoor Patio Space • IT/AV • Furniture • Flooring and Paint • Exterior changes • January 2013 – Began window replacement • Spring Break 2013 – Exterior work began • May 16th - Interior demo begins • August 22nd – Fall semester move-in

Project Scope & Timeline • $14 mil – Bonded • $500k Residential Life and Housing Reserves • Case good furniture purchase • Winter Break, Spring Break, 7th Block Break • Window replacement • Exterior work starting Spring Break • 13 weeks over summer • 6-day week, 2 shift schedule • Open August 22 for move-in
