  1. Willard Wigan:Art in Miniature Nano-artist Willard Wigan lives in Jersey, UK, and creates the world’s tiniest art, working late at night, and timing his movements between heartbeats.

  2. Much of his art is created to fit within the eye of a needle, as this gold Statue of Liberty. From being a traumatized and unrecognized dyslexic child, he is now emerging as the most globally celebrated micro-miniaturist of all time and is literally capable of turning a spec of dust into a vision of true beauty.

  3. Winston Churchill Charles Dickens Willard can create a masterpiece within the eye of a tiny sewing needle, on the head of a pin, the tip of an eyelash or a grain of sand. Some are many times smaller than the period at the end of this sentence.

  4. Marilyn Monroe on a Diamond Elvis on the Head of a Pin Wigan, who is completely self-taught has baffled medical science and been the subject of discussions among micro-surgeons, nano-technologists and at universities worldwide.

  5. Frankie Dettori riding Dubai Millennium on a pinhead Cassius Clay (later know as Muhammad Ali) vs. Sonny Liston….the entire boxing ring barely larger than a match head.

  6. Wigan’s smallest sculptures can only be measured in thousandths of an inch which is why they can sit, very delicately, on a human hair three thousandths of an inch thick. A cat climbs a cat whisker A girl with a red balloon walks along an eyelash, supported by a needle.

  7. String Quartet in the eye of a needle. The Last Supperin the eye of a needle

  8. Snow White and the Seven Dwarfs (note the witch with the apple, above the eye of the needle). Peter Pan, Tinkerbelle, and the Darling family children, John, Wendy, and Michael (with Teddy Bear) on a small fish hook.

  9. Wigan’s work is ground-breaking - partly because of the astounding beauty of vision which challenges the belief system of the mind and partly because it demonstrates that if one person can create the impossible, we all have the potential to transcend our own limiting beliefs about what we are capable of. The Wizard of Oz Cast: Dorothy, the Cowardly Lion, the Scarecrow, the Tin Man, Glinda, and the Wicked Witch of the West.

  10. Zeus, on a Grain of Sand atop the head of a pin. Rodin’s The Thinkeron the head of a pin.

  11. When working on this scale Wigan slows his heartbeat and his breathing dramatically through meditation and attempts to harmonize his mind, body and soul with the Creator. He then sculpts or paints at the centre point between heartbeats for total stillness of hand. Michelangelo’s David, front and rear views, on the head of a pin.

  12. Solid gold clipper ship on a crystal, compared to the size of a needle. The Titanic on a glass granule mounted on the tip of a needle

  13. Wigan likens his artistic process to "trying to pass a pin through a bubble without bursting it." The Tower Bridge in London. and Henry VIII, with his six wives (many of whom spent time in the Tower).

  14. 22 kt gold dragonflyperches on the point of a needle. Adam and Evecarved in a graphite pencil lead.
