The roof made of mountains How does their geography, climate, and natural resources connect to their daily life and jobs? • The mountainous terrain only allows one fourth of the land can to be used for farming. • Unlike some Mideast countries there are not a lot of farmers in Switzerland so they have to do jobs like; making watches, making computers and banking. • Their biggest export and import partner is Germany. The lack of natural resources in Switzerland cause's them to import a lot of items. This allows them to produce things to make money and get the food that they need. • The cold weather also affects the amount of farming the farmers can do. On a average day in the summer the temperature is about 77 degrees Fahrenheit. On a normal winter day the tempter is about 27 degrees Fahrenheit. So farmers have to take a break all winter with out earning money for food. • The Alps cover more then half of the country running east to west. • Another 10% of Switzerland is covered by the Jura Mountain range. • Some of the highest pecks in Europe are located in Switzerland including; Monte Rosa at 15,209 feet, Matterhorn at 14,691. • There are also numerous lakes and large flat green valleys.

A problem there makes a problem here What is a current event in Switzerland and how does it affect the U.S.A? • The Switzerland Government finally discussed the amount of people are in poverty. • They discussed this problem on November 9 2012 • The Switzerland government always thought poverty is not a issue for the people in Switzerland. • The U.S.A is worried about the poverty problem in Switzerland because 10% of our imports come from Switzerland • The U.S.A is also worried about Switzerland because they do not want all of the European countries to have big money problems.

Swiss cheese on my ski • 50% people in Switzerland love to ski • Many of the people in Switzerland like to hike and rock clime • The most popular sport is soccer • Their top food they it are; cheese meat potato. • With the cheese they make fundi • The top meat is sausage • Many of the people in Switzerland use train and busses • Many of the most famous trains are in or made by Switzerland • Swiss Products are well built and meant to last unlike the cheep toys you get from China • In Switzerland you can take a buss any were. • They speak 4 different languages • Almost all Swiss people are Christen • They are known for being on time and never late. • They also make Swiss army knifes. • Swiss watches are some of the most expensive.
