  2. What is a role model? True role models are those who possess the qualities that we would like to have and those who have affected us in a way that makes us want to be better people. To advocate for ourselves and our goals and take leadership on the issues that we believe in.

  3. What are the qualities and characteristics of a good role model

  4. Self-Esteem • A role model is self-assured and happy with who she is. • The role model has self-esteem. • Role models trust in being themselves. They are proud of who they are, but not cocky.

  5. Handle Stress Positively • Being human means having to constantly deal with stress and overcome obstacles. • A role model sets a good example on how to handle pressure.

  6. Role Models Are Trustworthy • Trustworthiness is another quality of a good role model. A role model is honest and doesn't lie. A role model does the right thing.

  7. Respect for Others • A good role model listens to others and also considers opposing points of view. • He treats others how he would want to be treated and is considerate of others. • When making mistakes, a role model does not place the blame on others.

  8. Why are role models important? Role Models are important because they increase a child's self-esteem. Help them to build morals and positive values. Teach children to set attainable goals. And provide direction in achieving their goals. Most importantly, role models provide examples for children to follow showing them that their dreams and goals can be fulfilled.

  11. Early life Haifa Al Kaylani was born in Palestine and was later raised in Lebanon. She was born the eldest of 5 younger sisters and was given the privilege of studying at English-speaking schools, learning and developing 5 different languages fluently.

  12. Education Al Kaylani studied Economics at the prestigious American University of Beirut and later returned to take a Masters degree in economical development, after completing a Diploma in the same subject, at Oxford University.

  13. Personal life Haifa Fahoum married an Ambassador, Wajih Al Kaylani in 1970. They moved to the United Kingdom permanently in the year 1976 while spending time in Jordan and Lebanon. They both have a son called Sirri who is in own respect is an academic in the Law sector.

  14. Arab International Women's Forum Haifa Al Kaylani is responsible for setting up the Arab International Women's Forum, which is an umbrella organisation that brings together 1,500 associations, individuals, corporation and partnerships based in 45 nations and 6 continents of the world.

  15. Arab International Women's Forum The organisation is basis where women of Arab origin can come together and build relationships, exchange ideas and knowledge develop business potential and promote their organisations.

  16. Arab International Women's Forum Since its establishment in 2001 the institution has helped change many things about the Arab world for women. They have become more heard and voiced. In September 2005, a report from the Forum asked Arab governments to help equal men and women by removing the barriers between the 2 gender groups.

  17. Recognition and Awards In 2006, she was given recognition as one of the "21 Leaders for the 21st Century" by Women's eNews of New York. In February 2007, Haifa Al Kaylani was named as one of the "Muslim Power 100 Leaders" hosted in the UK and received the "Education Excellence Award.

  18. My role model and UAE Her connect with UAE that she encourages the woman to be active role in them community. Haifa is founder and chairman in ( Arab international womens forum ) wich help the arab women in UAE to be more activer in community. Haifa effect women by encouraging them to volunteer work and civil service. Haifa always arranged conferences and meeting for Arab women with roles in buisines,government and civil service.
