  8. Your Project • Create a figurative sculpture out of clay based on the 20th century sculptures we have seen. • It does not have to be in the style of any one particular artist. I only ask that you consider the works we have seen and let that inform your work. • Consider scale, proportions, how “finished” you want it to look (i.e. texture, construction method). • First off: Create 5 developed and different sketches of sculptures you might want to create. • Note: based on the color simplicity of 20th century sculptures we have seen, we will not be glazing these with color or at all (clear, neutral, or nothing at all).
