  1. Task 4.1, Milestone 1WISE Data model implementationSTATUS OF WORK

  2. Basics: • WFD concept transferred to object tables with attributes in WISE data model • Data sources in current data model - WFD Art 3,5,6,8 - SoE data - BWD data

  3. WISE data model tables and relations: CODE

  4. BWD data tables

  5. Data input into WISE data model at IWRS • WFD data on JRC server before the transfer to EEA checked by IWRS • Concept of WISE data model developed in dec 07 by ETCW • Delivery of WFD data from JRC to EEA (Data processing for EEA by Atkins) • Delivery of WFD data from EEA to IWRS and CENIA • SoE stations added to WISE data model in Jan/Febr 08 • BWD data added to WISE data model in March 08

  6. Findings : • WFD data on JRC server before the transfer to EEA checked by IWRS: there have been more data on JRC server then later transffered to EEA (groundwater,...) • No meta description on WFD data • New attributes added at EEA (processed by Atkins) • Some names of attributes have been changed at EEA (Atkins) • New RBD developed in February 2008 by CENIA (on the art 3 data obtained from EEA)..two versions: (1) ‘RBD F1v0’, (2) ‘RBD F1v1’ .....this is the latest RBD layer that has been put into WISE data model at IWRS • ....WFD art 3 and 5 data put on CIRCA for ETC LUSI and Atkins: ‘RBD F1v0’ version

  7. DELIVERY OF ART 3 AND ART 5 DATA on CIRCA • River Basin Districts (Art.3,version ‘RBD F1v0, 25 attributes, 205 objects) • Groundwater (Art.3, 10 attributes, 2713 objects) • Groundwater bodies (Art.3, 20 attributes, 17273 objects) • Lakes (Art.3, 13 attributes, 48 objects) • Rivers (Art.3, 14 attributes, 10821 objects) • River waterbodies (Art.5, 7 attributes, 7043 objects) • Surface waterbodies (Art.5, 19 attributes, 92513 objects) • FIRST META DESCRIPTION OF DATA IN REPORT PREPARED FOR THE DELIVERY • NOT ALL ATTRIBUTES HAVE BEEN DELIVERED (with empty fields, or no additional information..) • Problem of GROUNDWATER layer taht have been almost empty (IWRS have later uploaded JRC groundwater data that had been downloaded from JRC server in December 2007) NOT DELIVERED: Competent authority (Art.3, 19 attributes, 167 objects, for map viewer)

  8. IWRS processing of data in WISE data model - development of relations: • All object are directly linked to RBD table/layer (relation between one table to RBD is a basic relation in WISE data model) • ‘RBD F1v0’ overlayed with SoE stations rivers • ‘RBD F1v1’ (some graphical updates and most probably no attribute updates) put into working WISE data model.....this layer will be used to build RBD relations to BWD locations

  9. Status of RBD LAYER (‘RBD F1v1’) ATTRIBUTE ANALYSIS (23 attributes) NAME LGE_ID CTY_ID NAME_ENGLISH AREAKM2 EUCD_RBD EUCD_NATRBD MSCD_RBD INTCODE (idt_id) HYD_SYST_O HYD_SYST_S ISLANDS RBD_HYCODE (hdm_id) NATRBD_HYCODE SEA (sea_id) INTERNATIONAL EU_MS UPDATE_WHEN UPDATE_BY META_ID INS_WHEN INS_BY ID CAY_ID • Some countries included coastal sea, some not (Italy) • Some countries that report to Eionet have no RBD

  10. WISE SoE Rivers stations – RBD Number of all stations: 6371 Number of stations without RBD: 97 Number of stations with Adriatic RBD: 35 • REASONS for no RBD: • Official RBD layer not includes all RBDs • Wrong coordinates of stations (or no coordinates) • Stations on open sea RBD control: Stations.CountryCode = RBD.CountryCode Primary attribute: Stations.CountryCode

  11. DISCUSSION... QUESTIONS... COMMENTS...
