  2. Briefing Purpose • To provide a top level overview of the Industry Controlled Other Party (ICOP) aerospace quality management system accreditation/certification structure.

  3. What is ICOP? Industry Controlled: - implies that the Aerospace Industry will be self-policing this process. - the control is given to membership of the IAQG, comprised of the AAQG, EAQG and APAQG, which is restricted to Aerospace OEMs and 1st Tier (major airframe/engine) suppliers. Other Party: - implies something other than 2nd party auditing by OEMs and something other than the 3rd party auditing by ISO certification bodies & auditors - implies the combination of 2nd & 3rd party audits controlled by the Aerospace Industry IAW AS9104 ICOP is the globally harmonized Quality Management System defined by the AAQG (AS9104)

  4. International Aerospace Quality Group (IAQG) A Global Organization International Aerospace Quality Group IAQG Council General Assembly Forums AAQG (Americas) EAQG (Europe) APAQG (Asia) Whose purpose is: Implement initiatives that make significant improvements in Quality and reductions in cost throughout the value stream by establishing and maintaining dynamic cooperation, based on trust, between international aerospace companies.

  5. IAQG Strategic Focus Improvement Strategy • Requirements • Process Capability • People Capability • Execution • Sub-tier Supplier Control • Evaluation Strategic Relationship Growth Strategy • Space • Defense • Authorities • Suppliers • Engineering, Sourcing IAQG Operating Management System • Member Collaboration • Top Leader Involvement • IAQG Operational Efficiency
