Jobs ongoing toward the ZH -> jets analysis • Reconstruct Mokka data with PandoraPFA (+ full tracking). • Reconstruct Jupiter data with PandoraPFA (+ full tracking). • Vertexfinding of Mokka b/c/d-jet events with LCFIVertex. • Vertexfinding of Jupiter b/c/d-jet events with LCFIVertex. 1,3 2,4 LDC Full Tracking, PandoraPFA, LCFIVertex

  3. 1. Reconstruct Mokka data with PandoraPFA • Mark told me : • Z-pole data which we took from GRID is way too old. • Current CVS version of steering file (including calib. parameters) does not fit for that old data. • Need calorimeter re-calibration with PandoraPFACalibrator to have the best performance. • Therefore I decided : • Not to stick with such old data, better to generate new data by myself with Mokka. • Re-calibrate the constants as Mark told.

  4. 1. Reconstruct Mokka data with PandoraPFA Z -> u,d,s,c,b Results with 1000 events generated with Mokka v6-5-p2 Z -> u,d,s only JER = 38 % JER = 27 %! Maybe Z -> uds result is now consistent with Mark’s …

  5. 2. Reconstruct Jupiter data with PandoraPFA • The re-calibration also should work for the Jupiter data. • Yoshioka-san is now trying to do that. Jet Energy resolution is expected to be improved (hopefully…). • However for more detailed comparison between the Jupiter and Mokka, there are some differences of settings at event generation : • G4 PhysicsList … LCPhysics for Jupiter, QGSP_BERT for Mokka • Range cut … 0.5 mm for Jupiter(?), 0.2 mm for Mokka • Maybe more ? • It may be necessary to generate samples with the same settings, or it is not a big deal ?

  6. 3&4. Vertexfinding of Mokka/Jupiter b/c/d-jet events with LCFIVertex • ZVTOP seems to be running successfully with Mokka data. • Need to apply the neural net. • Neural net training seems to be already done for Mokka data. • Still need to consider for training with Jupiter data. But we will need 0.5 M events for training, if we will really do it … Is training result for Mokka enough also for Jupiter? • Anyway I need to generate some amount of b/c/d-quark jets data with Jupiter. • Recently Sonja gave some very helpful advices on them. Maybe we can discuss with her at Sendai.

  7. One issue : JER for heavy flavor jets Z -> dd Z -> cc Z -> bb JER ~ 27 % JER ~ 44 % JER ~ 62 % JER for b, c jets are much worse, due to missing neutrinos from semileptonic decays. What we should do with H -> b/c analysis ?
