  2. A Brief History of the company Warner Brothers Studios is one of the most famous film and television company in the world. You may not realise it but if you have watched TV or films most of your life then you will have grown up with many of the films this production company have brought to us. They brought us some of the earliest cartoon characters such as Bugs Bunny, Daffy Duck and Sylvester and Tweety. These characters were the start of the animation film world we love and know today. The name goes back to the four founding Warner brothers, Harry, Jack, Sam and Albert. The three eldest brothers began in the movie theatre business with a movie projector. They showed films in the mining towns of Pennsylvania and Ohio. The first theatre they opened was called the Cascade in 1903 based in Pennsylvania. Beginning in 1903, they started acquiring movie theatres, and they then moved into film distribution. About 1913 they began producing their own films, and in 1917 they shifted their production headquarters to Hollywood, California. They established Warner Brothers Pictures, Inc., in 1923.

  5. The Company The merger closed two days later, with the company becoming a subsidiary of AT&T. Despite spinning off Time Inc. in 2014, the company retained the Time Warner name until AT&T's acquisition in 2018, after which it became WarnerMedia.
