What is storyboarding and what does It include? • A storyboard is a graphic organizer that plans a narrative. It is a sequence of drawings that represent the shots planned for a video production. It is a powerful way to visually present information. • A storyboard includes things like: Shot number, action, location, shot/movement, sound, lighting and transition.
Why is storyboarding important before filming? • The storyboard is a very important part of the pre-production process because it clearly conveys how the story will flow, as you can see how your shots work together. It gives an idea of how the edited final film will look like. It also allows you to see potential problems that might go unnoticed until you get on set, therefore, saving you time and money.
Why is storyboarding important after filming? • A storyboard helps to convey the flow of movement from one scene to another. Films are a sequence of moving pictures. It also will help the editor to create the final edit of the film and take all the material that has been generated and guide his/hers choices.
