Graduation Requirements • 23.5 credits in specific classes (see page 8) • 2.0 GPA • Community Service – 40 hours (forms on-line) • State Testing Requirements • Must pass Reading and Writing HSPE • Must pass Algebra or Geometry EOC • Must pass Biology EOC • Culminating Project & High School and Beyond Plan

  8. Math (Catalog page 54) • Need signature from current Math teacher • 4 Years of Math- all colleges expect it. • Math Seminar for Geometry and Algebra 2 • Students can earn Bellevue College math credit through College-in-the-High School for several courses now- see math teacher

Science (Catalog Page 61) • Biology→ Chemistry → Physics • AP options in all areas: Biology, Chemistry, Physics 1 & C, Environmental Science (pre-reqs for each) • Marine Science (chemistry) • Anatomy and Physiology (chemistry) • Biotechnology (chemistry) • Nanotechnology - 1 semester only (chemistry, physics)

  11. Class Choices • Choose carefully! No Changes. • Fill in alternate electives • PE: Class or Sport for Credit, Community • Retaking a Failed class: Class, Summer school or Credit Retrieval. See your Counselor

  12. Planning and Balance to Achieve your Goals! • Budget Time & Balance – homework/friends/work/rest/hobbies • Pursue passion area (elective or club) • Look at prerequisites

  13. College Considerations • Colleges want to see Rigor and Balance • 4 Years Math and Science • World Language (2-3 years) • Fine art (UC = 1 year of same class) • U of Calif. schools and many others (No “D” grades) • College visits – use breaks to visit

  14. Online Course Selection • You must choose your courses using the online course selection system and • also turn in your completed Course Selection Form https://myclass.bsd405.org

  15. Online Course Selection Reminders • Select 7.0 regular credits and at least 1.5 alternate credits • When you are complete, click Turn In. • Complete your online selections by Tuesday, March 25th. • We will pick up your forms in English classes March 26 and 27. • Course Catalog at bsd405.org
