  2. 本章提要 • 認識 IIS • 認識 FrontPage Server Extensions 與 Windows SharePoint Services • FrontPage Server Extensions 和 Windows SharePoint Services 的擴充功能

  3. 認識 IIS • IIS 的全名是 Internet Information Services, 它是微軟推出的 Web 伺服器軟體, 能提供常用的網路服務, 例如 WWW、FTP、SMTP…等服務。 • 當你安裝好 IIS 之後, 你的電腦就可算是一部網站伺服器, 別人可以透過 Internet 連線到你的電腦來瀏覽網站。

  4. 認識 IIS • IIS 最早是由 Windows NT 4.0 Server 所提供, 而從 Windows 2000 開始, 不論是 Server 或 Professional 版本均提供 IIS 5.0 的功能。 • 但只有 Windows XP Professional (專業版) 才提供 IIS 5.1, Windows XP Home Edition (家用版) 則不包含 IIS。

  5. 認識 IIS • 由於 Windows XP Professional 並非專用於伺服器的作業系統, 因此所提供的 IIS 5.1 在功能上也做了些精簡。 • 在 Windows XP Professional、Windows Server 2000/2003 的安裝光碟中內建有 IIS, 預設不會自動安裝進來, 你必須自行安裝。

  6. Windows 98/Me 的使用者 • 在 IIS 5.0 前, 微軟將 IIS 稱為 Internet Information Server, 但不管稱為 Services或 Server, 它提供給 Windows 作業系統的功能、架構並沒有改變。 • 原本適用在 Windows 98/Me/NT 4.0 Workstation 的 PWS 則已停止發展。

  7. Windows 98/Me 的使用者 • 若你的作業系統是 Windows 98/Me/NT 4.0 Workstation, 那麼你要安裝的則是 PWS (Personal Web Server) 個人伺服器。 • PWS 是內建的一個桌上型簡易 Web 伺服器, 透過 PWS 你的電腦即可搖身一變成為 WWW 伺服器。

  8. Windows 98/Me 的使用者 • 若要安裝 PWS, 請放入 Windows 98/Me/NT 4.0 Workstation 光碟片, 切換至 "add-ons\pws" 資料夾, 然後執行其中的 setup.exe 即可啟動 Microsoft Personal Web Server 安裝程式精靈, 再跟著畫面說明逐步完成安裝。

  10. 認識 FrontPage Server Extensions與 Windows SharePoint Services • 以往為了擴充 Web 伺服器的功能, 我們會在伺服端加裝 FrontPage Server Extensions。而微軟新推出的 FrontPage 2003, 除了仍可搭配 FrontPage Server Extensions, 更建議你改搭配全新的、功能更強大的伺服端引擎 — Microsoft Windows SharePoint Services, 以獲得最完整的伺服端功能支援。

  11. 關於 FrontPage Server Extensions • FrontPage Server Extensions (FrontPage 伺服器擴充程式) 是一些專為 FrontPage 設計的程式組, 在 Web 伺服器中安裝這個程式組, 再把網頁互動功能一組組地準備好, 接著只要用 FrontPage 插入相關元件或利用精靈、範本製作, 再上傳到伺服器上, 就能啟動準備好的互動功能。

  13. 關於 FrontPage Server Extensions • 目前 FrontPage Server Extensions 的最新版本為 2002。隨著 FrontPage 2003 的問世, 搭配功能更強大的 Windows SharePoint Services, 能讓 FrontPage 2003 的功能發揮到極致。

  14. FrontPage Server Extensions 的安裝環境 • FrontPage Server Extensions是 Web 伺服器軟體上層的程式, 也就是說你所使用的 Windows 2000/2003/XP Professional 作業系統, 須加裝 IIS 這種 Web 伺服器軟體後, 才能再安裝 FrontPage Server Extensions。安裝 IIS 時, 已一併裝好 FrontPage 2000 Server Extensions, 在此建議您最好將版本提升為較新的 FrontPage 2002 Server Extensions。

  15. 關於 Windows SharePoint Services • Windows SharePoint Services是用於建立可供資訊共用和文件協同運作的網站引擎, 以增加個人和工作小組的產能。它是 Microsoft Windows Server 2003 中所推出的一套資訊工作者基礎結構, 也對 Microsoft Office 2003 各套軟體提供團隊小組的資訊服務。

  16. 關於 Windows SharePoint Services • 透過 SharePoint Services 所建置的網站, 能將檔案儲存提升到新的層次, 從儲存檔案到共用資訊, 都可協助小組成員在文件、工作、連絡人…和其他資訊上共同合作。同時, SharePoint 網站也讓小組和網站管理員可以輕鬆的管理網站內容和活動。

  17. 關於 Windows SharePoint Services • 在 FrontPage 2003 中有關需要即時存取資料的功能, 都必須有 SharePoint Services 才能運作, 這些功能包括了：Web 組件、Web 套件範本、XML 支援、資料來源目錄…等。 • 使用 FrontPage 的最佳組合是結合 FrontPage 2003 與 Windows SharePoint Services。

  18. 關於 Windows SharePoint Services • 由於 SharePoint Services 已包含 FrontPage Server Extensions 的功能, SharePoint Service是 Office 2003 中的一項產品, 若你沒有 SharePoint Service, 仍可以安裝 FrontPage 2002 Server Extensions 來搭配 FrontPage 2003 使用。

  20. 屬於 Web 元件的功能 伺服器端需有 FrontPage Server Extensions 才能使用的 Web 元件： • Web 搜尋：可以提供站內關鍵字搜尋功能。 • 計數器：可以提供顯示瀏覽人次的功能。 • 十大排行榜下的各元件：包括瀏覽過的網頁、參考的網域、參考的URL、搜尋字串、正在瀏覽的使用者…等 7 種, 插入這些元件可統計出各項目查閱頻率最高的前十名。

  21. 屬於 Web 元件的功能 伺服器端需有 FrontPage Server Extensions 才能使用的 Web 元件： • 進階控制項/確認欄位：可幫助製作確認表單輸出資訊的確認頁面。 • 而檢視清單與文件庫檢視這兩個 Web 元件還需要配合 Windows SharePoint Services 才能使用。

  22. 網頁範本中的伺服端功能 • 在網頁範本的一般頁次, 包含伺服端功能的網頁範本有：回函表單、使用者註冊、表單網頁精靈、表單確認、訪客留言及搜尋網頁。基本上由於表單擔任的是將資料送入伺服端以供程式處理的角色, 故只要用到表單的功能幾乎都需要 FrontPage Server Extensions 的支援。
