  2. Mission St. Austin Catholic school is committed to preparing life-long learners in the Catholic tradition. We develop spiritual, intellectual, social, and physical excellence in each individual. Our school creates responsible, contributing, moral leaders in the Church and community.

  3. Goals • Maintain/attract high quality staff • Ensure a curriculum rich environment that promotes life-long learning • Provide a safe and nurturing learning atmosphere • Support a strong, family-oriented community

  4. Considerations • Tuition has not kept up with rising costs to operate. • Staff have not received a raise in two years and salaries are below 85% of Austin ISD salaries. • Fundraising had to be used to provide basic operational costs.

  5. Considerations (continued) • Expenses have increased due to health insurance, utilities, updating materials, etc. • Due to parish financial challenges, the parish subsidy has decreased over time. • Actual cost to educate a child last year was $7510 yet tuition was $5300 yielding a tuition discount of $2210.
