  1. CIMA Use by trade negotiators Umpika Poonnachit Mission of Thailand to the WTO

  2. Problems for market access Standard (public & private) SPS issues (i.e. pests, chemicals, food safety) Tariff and quota Price competitiveness (level of subsidy in the US)

  3. Calculation of CIMA Standard (public & private) SPS issues (i.e. pests, chemicals, food safety) - the data ofexpenses for complying with these 2 sections (PLC, PLP, SPC) are difficult to find in Thailand (no data collection?) - the expenses should be higher than in the country report

  4. Calculation of CIMA Tariff and quota - layer of flexibilities in MA pillar which will affect tariff and quota expansion (SeP) in importing countries - Sensitive Products (SeP) - Special Products - about 65% of rice export to DCs (about half of that amount to G-33 countries)

  5. Rice export to DCs * China, Benin, Cote d’ Ivorie , Nigeria, Senegal, Indonesia, Philippines, Ghana, Cameroon (some are LDCs)

  6. Calculation of CIMA Price competitiveness (level of subsidy in the US) - Interesting to see how this term be collected and added up in CIMA
