  2. Driving to Hanscom • From Logan International Airport (Boston): • Depart Logan Airport & follow signs to the Mass Turnpike I-90). I-90 will bring you through the Ted Williams Tunnel (Toll). Stay on I-90 to I-95/Rte 128 (Toll).  Take I-95 North toward Peabody.  Follow Rte I-95 to Exit 30B (for Vandenberg Gate)(visitors/personnel without a DoD ID CARD) or Exit 31B (for Hartwell Gate)(DoD stickers & ID cards).  Logan Airport/Boston is approx. 25 miles from Hanscom. • From Points South: • Take I-95 North or the Massachusetts Turnpike/I-90 (a toll road) to I-95/128 North.  Take either Exit 30B(Visitors) or Exit 31B. • After 10 p.m. and for those with Vehicle Passes: • Take Exit 31B off I-95/Rt128. Stay in the right lane & follow to the jughandle, just after the MA Army National Guard Bldg on the right.  Take the jughandle & go through the lights onto Hartwell Ave. Hanscom’s Hartwell Gate is located at the very end of this road. Gate Hours: Vandenberg- 7 days, 0500-2200. Hartwell - 24/7/365.

Access to Hanscom • Vehicle Access to Hanscom AFB: • CWID visitors who do not have DoD IDs, please send an email with arrival date to: Todd.Watson@hanscom.af.mil • A roster of CWID visitors will be provided to HAFB Visitor Center • Visitors will need to provide 2 forms of ID and a rental car agreement or proof of current owner’s insurance. • If you have a valid DoD ID card, then proceed to Exit 31B, and follow the signs to Hanscom.  • Directions to the Visitor's Center: • Take Exit 30B off I-95/Rte 128, Hanscom Field Exit, go 1-1/2 miles to the blinking light, take a right, go 1/4 mile straight, bear right to Hanscom AFB, Vandenberg Gate, and check in at the Visitor’s Center.   

  4. Personnel Security • In-processing Requirements: • POC for visit are Mr. Gil Ynostroza, Commercial: 781.377.8353, DSN: 478.8353, Email: Gil.Ynostroza@hanscom.af.mil • Submit Clearance/Visit Requests to: 653rd ELSW/EID Security, ATTN: Gil Ynostroza 15 Eglin Street, Bldg 1607 Hanscom AFB, MA 01731-2100 JPAS is preferred: SMO Code is LK1MFNC2 Commercial Fax: 781.377.2200; DSN Fax: 478.2200 • U.S. Citizens must submit their visit requests to the 653 ELSW/EID two weeks priorto arriving. (For example NLT 1 Jun for a 15 Jun arrival). • Phone 781.377.8353 to confirm receipt

Personnel Security • Coalition Visitors: • Foreign visitors requesting access to Hanscom AFB, MUST contact their embassy and provide the Hanscom Foreign Disclosure Officer’s address: contact Mr. Gil Ynostroza for details • A separate Visit Request is required for each site • Foreign Visit requests must be submitted 45 days (For Example: 1 May 09 for 15 Jun 09) in advance to respective embassies • Ensure you list Mr. Gil Ynostroza as the POC for all CWID Foreign Visits • You will not be allowed on base without this clearance • To expedite the process, ask the embassy for the case number assigned to your request • Provide the Case number to Mr. Gil Ynostroza
