Airport Experience Project Phase 1 • Seven Design Elements • Ticketing Dome Ceilings* • Entry Monuments and Access Roadway Signs* • Bag Claim Carrousels and In-Feed Conveyors • Terminal Architectural Renovations* • Terminal MEPSS Renovations and Improvements* • Concourse Architectural Renovations • Concourse MEPSS Renovations and Improvements • Design continuing through 2008 with Construction packages in 2008-2010 * represents packages with selected design firms

  4. Ticketing Dome Ceilings • Re-surface interior of four (4) domes • Smooth surface painted in a bright white • Repair skylight frames (as necessary) • Alternate to replace skylights with more transparent material • Teng and Associates Design Firm

  5. Entry Monuments & Access Roadway Signs • Install three (3) monuments on Interstate-70 at Cypress, Airflight and East Entry • Coordinate regional wayfinding with MoDot • Provide new roadway signage scheme along Lambert Blvd. and Airflight Drive • Apple Designs Design Firm

  6. In-Bound Bag Claim Devices and Conveyor Feeds-Design Build • Demo and replace six existing in-bound passenger bag claim devices and two (2) oversize claim devices • Demo and replace conveyor feeds from ramp • Install air curtains to reduce drafts and odors • Re-do existing architecture above bag claim devices to visually open hall • Electrical infrastructure upgrades to support new conveyors and carousels

Terminal Architectural Renovations • Ticketing Hall, Mid-Level Departures Hall and Baggage Claim-Arrivals Hall • Floor, wall and ceiling coverings and finishes • Renovated restrooms + two new Mid-Level restrooms • Relocated C/D Security Checkpoint • Post-security food and retail node • New ticketing case work, back walls and video monitors • New baggage service offices • Wayfinding signage • Teng & Associates Design Firm

Terminal Mechanical, Electrical, Plumbing and Special Systems Renovations • Ticketing Hall, Mid-Level Departures Hall and Baggage Claim-Arrivals Hall • MEPSS benchmarking, renovations and enhancements • Lighting, HVAC, plumbing, electrical systems • Fire, security, CCTV, paging special systems • Burns & McDonnell Design Firm

Seizing the opportunity for Success Airport Experience Project • Start Early • Reach out to others, do not wait until the last minute to show interest in the project • Be knowledgeable of St. Louis City requirements on SLAA Projects • Research other firms • Know who the players are in your industry • Establish relationships with potential Primes “Success is where preparation meets opportunity.”

  12. Meeting and ExceedingMWBE Goals • Prime Companies • Familiarize yourself with SLAA requirements for counting participation, ex. Only Certified MWBE companies located in the city of St. Louis will be counted toward goals. • Seek to create meaningful partnerships with MWBEs consider Joint Ventures or Mentor Protégé relationships as creative ways to meet and exceed the MWBE goals. • View goals as a HELP, not a hindrance. • MWBE Companies • Pursue a long term relationship with Prime. Deliver quality work with competitive pricing. • MWBE Program is not a set aside. Goals assist you to the door. You must open it.
