  2. Electrically Heated Temperature Device - ETD400 • Electrical (resistance) heating • Typical working range: ambient – 400°C • In connection with LN2 or fluid bath lower temperatures possible • Advantages: - Fast heating • - Easy to operate • - Relatively inexpensive • - With appropriate design small • gradients • Disadvantages: - Slow cooling • - For fast cooling additional cooling • medium needed • - Limited sample space for special • accessories like solid torsion bar • fixture etc.

  3. Electrically Heated Temperature Device - ETD400 Electrical (resistance) heating system • Electrically heated bottom plate • Electrically heated hood • From ambient to 400°C • With cooling options from -130°C • Low temperature gradients • Inert gas possible

  4. Electrically Heated Temperature Device - ETD400 • Temperature Cooling: Air: ambient to 400°C Thermostat: -20 to 400°C Low temperature option: -130°C to 400°C (with TC30) -130°C to 250°C (with TC20) • Supply pressure Air: up to 0.5bar Liquid nitrogen: up to 1.2 bar (0.8 to 1.0 recommended) • Consumption rate Liquid nitrogen: 2-5 l/min
