CURRENT DIRECTIONS AND ACTIVITIES TRAINING • Training on-street and on-alignment • Over 145 Operators Trained (9/29/05) • 17 Instructors Trained • 59 mechanics yard qualified; 18 fully qualified • By mid-October all mechanics will be fully qualified PUBLIC SAFETY & AWARENESS • Public safety education conducted at 36 schools; 19 more scheduled • Training DVD now available for use in schools • Opening day service from 6am-8pm (October29th) • October 30th – Special Schedule all day • October 31st – First Full day of regular operation

Additional Activities • Daytime training began 9/19/05 • LASD patrolling the alignment; they are warning and ticketing individuals on alignment • LADOT completing signage • Staff providing pre-view of Metroliner at events for neighborhood councils, rideshare fairs, etc. • Two emergency drills being planned during October to test readiness and response by all agencies • Integrated Systems Testing delayed pending review of “next bus” software

NEXT STEPS • July – October: Continue staff training • Mid-August: Public Notified of commencement of training on alignment • September 21st: Orange Line Shake-up completed at Divisions 8 and 15 • September – October: Construction completing “punch list” items • October 29th –30th: Free Ride Weekend • October 30th: Complete approved service changes for Lines 156, 233, Revenue Operations begin
