Peace on Earth, Peace to You Luke 2:8-14 8And there were shepherds living out in the fields nearby, keeping watch over their flocks at night. 9An angel of the Lord appeared to them, and the glory of the Lord shone around them, and they were terrified. 10But the angel said to them, "Do not be afraid. I bring you good news of great joy that will be for all the people. 11Today in the town of David a Savior has been born to you; he is Christ the Lord. 12This will be a sign to you: You will find a baby wrapped in cloths and lying in a manger." 13Suddenly a great company of the heavenly host appeared with the angel, praising God and saying,  14"Glory to God in the highest, and on earth peace to men on whom his favor rests."

  4. God is the God of Peace Luke 1938"Blessed is the king who comes in the name of the Lord!" "Peace in heaven and glory in the highest!“ 41As he approached Jerusalem and saw the city, he wept over it 42and said, "If you, even you, had only known on this day what would bring you peace— John 14:27“Peace I leave with you” John 20:19 “Peace be with you!" John 20:21"Peace be with you! As the Father has sent me, I am sending you."

Peace WITH God comes through Jesus Christ Romans 5:1Therefore, since we have been justified through faith, we have peace with God through our Lord Jesus Christ, Ephesians 2:14For he himself is our peace, who has made the two one and has destroyed the barrier, the dividing wall of hostility, Colossians 1:19-2119For God was pleased to have all his fullness dwell in him, 20and through him to reconcile to himself all things, whether things on earth or things in heaven, by making peace through his blood, shed on the cross. 21Once you were alienated from God and were enemies in your minds because of your evil behavior.

Once at Peace with God, We are Given the Peace OF God Colossians 3:15Let the peace of Christ rule in your hearts, since as members of one body you were called to peace. • Philippians 4:7And the peace of God, which transcends all understanding, will guard your hearts and your minds in Christ Jesus. • John 16:33"I have told you these things, so that in me you may have peace. In this world you will have trouble. But take heart! I have overcome the world."

  8. Luke 2:14"Glory to God in the highest, and on earth peace to men on whom his favor rests." • John 14:27Peace I leave with you; my peace I give you. I do not give to you as the world gives. Do not let your hearts be troubled and do not be afraid.
