  3. Toga Praetexta • White with a purple border • Worn by senators, magistrates, etc. • Also worn by young boys before they became men and obtained the “Toga virilis” • Boys had to go through the manhood cerimony and dedicate their bulla to the household gods.

  5. Women’s Clothing • Tunica: short-sleeved tunic • Stola: A longer dress; went over a tunic, and was fluffed at the belt. • Palla: A long shawl that was draped around the stola (resembles a toga)
