  3. Vocabulary: • 1) favorite (a): most liked • Ex: It’s one of my favorite restaurant. • 2) the ground floor (n): the floor of a building at ground level. • Ex: My room is at the ground floor.

  4. 3) a stove (n): a an enclosed apparatus for cooking Ex: To cook rice, you put a pan on the stove. 4) a microwave (n): a machine that cooks or heats food very quickly using electricity Ex: She reheated the soup in the microwave.

  5. 5) rectangle (n): a flat shape with 4 sides and 4 angles of 90 -> rectangular (a): having the shape of a rectangle Ex: My kitchen is big enough to have a rectangular table in the centre. 6) cupboard (n): which is used for storing food, dishes… Ex: After washing the dishes, I put it in the cupboard.

  6. 7) a sink (n): a place using a water supply for washing dishes Ex: There’s a sink next to the fridge. 8) a refrigerator (n): a place to keep the food fresh and preserve it Ex: My mother has just bought a refrigerator.

  8. Task 1: • Think of your favorite room (kitchen). Draw a plan of it on a piece of paper. Write down why you like it and some adjective to describe it. Show a partner your plan and talk about your room.

  12. Task 2: Work in group: Find out as many words as possible to describe people and things, write on the 2 columns in 5 minutes:

  13. Relative clause • This is the room where we cook and eat. WHERE+S+V (where=adv) The coffee is the drink which I like best. WHICH +S+V (which=O) This is the room which has the good view of the sea. WHICH+V (which=S)

  14. Task 3: Complete the description using these relative clauses: • that we’re going to next saturday • where we cook and meet • I like best • where family and friend come together

  15. Task 4: • Write a paragraph about 100 words to describe you kitchen and give reason why you like it.
