  2. They made carvings out of wood and stones. They made hieroglyphs to represent their kings. The Mayans sometimes used metal to make some of their art but it was rare. The Mayans were also great architects. Mayan’s Art

  3. The Mayans weren't big on meat, but they did have a variety of meat from rabbits, armadillos, monkeys, tapirs, and macaws. They used fruits and vegetables like avocado, papaya, guava, and breadnut to give flavor to their burritos. Markets is where they traded food. Food

  4. They helped the number zero become an actual a number. The Maya also helped create some of the weapons we used today. The Mayans also created a very carefully designed calendar that probably helped us created our calendars today. What contributions have made to present day society

  5. The Mayans used bow and arrows, knifes, spears, and atlatls or spear throwers which was a weapon strapped that was onto their arms and throws spears . They also used maquahuitls or clubs it was like a big log that they used for crushing people and things. Weapons

  6. The Mayan tools weren’t usually made of medal because it was rare. All of their tools were very simple. They used axes to cut down trees and tools made of flint, limestone, and granite to help them break and gather stones. Tools

  8. The Mayans lived in Mesoamerica, Mexico, Guatemala, Belize, Honduras, and El; Salvador. Location

  9. The Mayan were great farmers, so the had to cut down forests to make more room for more crops. They also did sacrifices to please their gods. Some of their art shows how some of their sacrifices were done. Culture

  10. The earliest Mayans were probably hunters and gathers. By 250 A.D. they had settled into communities. The people traded pottery, food, and jewelry. Fun facts
