  4. Reading Technical Material • Read Slowly • Reread When Necessary • Have a Specific Purpose • Pay Attention to Illustrations and Drawings • Use Visualization • Mark and Highlight

Learn to Read Technical Manuals • Preview the manual. • Locate important sections to read first. • Learn the codes, symbols, commands, or terminology used in the manual. • Work with the manual and the equipment simultaneously. • Use the index or make your own. • Simplify the manual if the need arises.
