  1. Media Coursework Initial Ideas

  2. Ideas • Time: It could be based on a single character that has to be in a particular place at a particular time. And it shows the chain of events as he tries to get to his destination. May also have some flashbacks. When he sees particular people on his journey. There will be very little dialogue in this film

  3. Time • In this idea there will be one main character and maybe 1 or 2 other characters. This film will follow the main character in a race against time. Showing him have to overcome various obstacles to reach his target on time.

  4. 1st Scene • It will start with a phone call to the main character in bed from a friend. • He will ask him where he is as he is late for an event. • This is when the sudden realisation of the main character will occur of how late he is. • An up of pace as the character speedily tries to get ready as he realises how late he is. Can show him begin to run as he leaves the house

  5. Locations • 1st scene-: Bedroom, rest of house. • 2nd scene-: Bus stop, streets of Chippenham/village • 3rdscene-: Various street locations (same place) • Final scene-: Sports field.. (School or Stanley Park.

  6. 2nd scene • He runs aiming to get to the bus stop • The Bus leaves without him. He realises he has to run the whole way. • The use of many different shots from various angles in a short space of time will be used. • Need to find music to play in the background which will set the scene. • Split shot again with the clock in one and him in the other • I will use this shot many times in my piece to try and build up suspense about weather or not he will make it in time.

  7. 3rd scene • I need to find various different places to film the character running. Needs to be from various different shots. • Split shot of the clock ticking down and him running • He sees his destination in the distance

  8. Final Scene • He arrives at his destination, panting and slowly walks over towards the pitch, • He notices the goals are not up and no-one is there • Confused he checks his phone • 8 missed calls from his friend • Phone starts ringing again, friend tells him the game is cancelled, they are going instead to watch the local team • He tells him to meet them at the train station • Music kicks in as he again starts running
