  1. LITHUANIAis the northernmost point in geography of the project partners countries

  2. One of the youngest towns of Lithuania – Elektrenai – is shining halfway between Vilnius and Kaunas.

  3. Elektrenai CentreofVocational Training Is a vocational school, which provides learners with secondary and occupational education in technical and social fields. Number of students- 574 Number of teaching staff – 40 An educational system is fostering the life long learning.

  4. The Centre educates qualified professionals for Lithuanian economy.

  5. Elektrenai Centre of Vocational Training was founded on 1st October 1967.

  6. The Centre developed original system of evaluation and scheme of educational arrangement. • III stages of vocational education are developed. • Subjects of general education are taught according to the needs of specific vocational education. • There is adequate experience of cooperation with social partners.

  7. School provides with the basic and secondary education.

  8. Elektrenai Centre of Vocational Training educates the following specialists: • businessmen • operators of banks • electromechanics • computer operators and tuners • secretaries • cabinetmakers • builders and decoraters • construction managers • cooks and barmen

  9. The Centre joins solid team of teachers for general education and vocational training.

  10. Vocational education takes place in teaching rooms, workshops, laboratories.

  11. Representatives of the Centre participate actively in local and national events, expositions and competitions.

  12. Since 1994 the Centre organises fairs to sell articles developed by learners during practical education

  13. Teachers and students of Elektrenai Centre of Vocational Training participate actively in international seminars, conferences, take part in international projects.

  14. Advantages of participation in international projects: • New skills and new experience. • Professional and personal development. • Long term relationships with colleagues from foreign countries. • Positive emotions. • Wider area of thought.
