  3. The battle took place near modern La Porte, Texas.

  4. The main leaders of this battle were Sam Houston and Santa Anna.

  5. The victory of this battle belongs to the Republic of Texas

  6. Santa Anna signed a peace treaty that led the way for Texas independence

  7. Interesting facts: The Battle of San Jacinto lasted only 18 minutes. Texas lost only 9 soldiers; but Mexico lost 630. This was the last battle of the Texas Revolution. The battle cry, “Remember the Alamo” was made famous during this battle. A monument stands near La Porte, Texas to commemorate the Battle of San Jacinto.
