  1. EventMarker Improving Attendance | Improving Outcomes The EventMarker system is designed to integrate seamlessly with your MIS database - recording and merging collected data directly into Attendance Grid.

  2. Student Retention in Your Hands • Impressive intuitive interface provides a great tool for challenging absenteeism Funding & Information Manager, Stoke Sixth Form College • Saving of up to 10 minutes learning time per lesson Bromley College of Further & Higher Education, Bromley • No more missing registers, finally embracing modern technology Stoke Sixth Form College, Stoke-on-Trent

  3. Enhanced Funding Prospects EventMarker provides accurate evidence and information regarding learners’ activity in compliance with the SFA Funding Rules, to help retain students and improve funding eligibility

  4. EventMarker: Automated Attendance Recording • A straightforward solution where student self-registration takes a few seconds, displaying attendance marks in real-time • Real-time collection of lesson attendance data which then dynamically downloads directly into your existing MIS database • Releasing the lecturer from administration duties, EventMarker allows them to focus solely on teaching

  5. Dynamic Display of Attendance A register with photographic images of the students expected for a class is displayed on screen changing from grey to full colour as they arrive and swipe in

  6. Ad hoc Registers EventMarker is ideal for registering attendance at non-timetabled events such as student forums, staff CPD, field trips, lunch time and after school classes and enrichment events

  7. Real-time/Instant Reports EventMarker facilitates 100% accurate attendance information and creates reports from real-time events.

  8. System Integration Database Integration: EventMarker Pro has its own SQL database but passes data freely in and out from and to other databases. The system links with several popular MIS databases such as Capita’s UNIT-e and Compass’ ProSolution. Smart Card Integration: EventMarker Pro accepts all the most popular types of proximity smart cards - MiFare 1K, MiFare 4K, DESFire, iClass, ISO Prox, DUO Prox, etc. In many cases the (card number - student name) association can be imported from existing systems to save doing this within EventMarker.

  9. Integration with Access Control Systems EventMarker can be linked upgraded to seamlessly to our wired or wireless access control system so that door control can be doubled up as registration readers. EventMarker has been designed to be extremely flexible – the system is highly scalable, suited to both very large institutions and small colleges. This leverages the investment in existing systems and infrastructure.

  10. Smart teacher features Smart Override If a student forgets their card or mis-uses another student’s card, the present lecturer can manually override marks to issue correct mark. Staff Room Mode Teachers can access registers, timetables and attendance marks and produce reports. Reports A multitude of reports are available, showing recorded attendance data, history and statistics. Access to reports can be restricted to senior staff or to certain departments, such as Student Services and Registry for example.

  11. Extra features Timetable Display Staff can view both staff and students timetables (given the appropriate rights).  Even from within a live register the tutor can see a student's previous attendance history.  This can be a very helpful pastoral tool in spotting poor attendance. If problems are identified early on they can be dealt with much more effectively. Security The system is usually configured to log out quickly if there is no activity taking place. The lecturer can also lock the register using their card. This is to prevent students tampering.
