  4. MYP Goals (By the end of the summer…) For community service, I want to do at least one good thing per day that makes myself and others happy. I also want to try something new for community service. For example, this year I am joining free rice, M-Sac, and Dragon’s Den, which is something that can help me raise awareness of what is happening outside of the ‘world’ that I know now. For arts, I wish to learn to play the clarinet, since I have just started in September for Instrumentals, and so far, I really like playing it. I also wish to keep playing piano at least once every day. Since for me, I am usually too lazy or have too much homework to do, so I often forget about piano.

  5. MYP Goals (By the end of the summer…) For education, I don’t want to be a procrastinator. Often it is because of my laziness. I also hope to be able to get a good score and work hard in Chinese School, since for me, it is often that I put school first before I work on other things. Often, I won’t even do my homework until the day before. For family/friends, I wish to spend more time with them. Also, I find that I like to keep all my feelings to myself, and often exhaust myself that way. So when I have something to say, I want to be able to say it. I also should be nice to my family members. By treating them like I treat my friends or even myself, I hope that I will get a better relationship with them, and listen to what they say. I also want to be able to say ‘no’. Since I often find myself doing things that I have no desire of doing.

  6. MYP Goals: (By the end of the summer…) For athletics, I hope to join as many sports as possible, but keep in mind that I shouldn’t join things just because I want to fulfil this goal, instead, I want to join the sports that I feel like I have an interest for. I also should be committed with the sports that I join. For example, coming to all the practices.

  7. MYP Learning Outcomes Self Awareness: Appreciate what I have, and don’t feel bad about yourself if you don’t get a lower mark than others, as long as you tried your best, that’s all that matters. Give myself person goals to set for each week. Exploration: By keeping an open mind about everything, and not be afraid to try something new. For example, the dragon’s den system and this online blogging is new for me.

  8. MYP Learning Outcomes Skill Development: Trying my hardest in the subjects that I am committed to, and don’t be afraid to make mistakes. For example, when finished a test or an assignment, go over it to see what type of mistakes I have made and make note of those. Commitment: Making sure to choose clubs or activities that I feel like I can accomplish. Also, to choose clubs that I feel like I will enjoy, not just for the sake of meeting the requirements. For example, in volleyball, I made it to every practice, unless I had a reasonable excuse not to go. It is also a sport that I enjoy a lot.

  9. MYP Learning Outcomes Empathy: Keep a positive attitude about everything, and don’t try to judge a person just by their looks. Also, try to get involved. For example, in the pumpkin carving contest, I felt that we were a bit distant for a team, so I felt that we could have improved on that a little bit more. Collaboration: Stop trying to always think of ‘me’ and ‘them’. Work in a group, and don’t be afraid to give ideas. Also, don’t just completely ignore another’s idea, give some thought about it, and think about the pros and cons. For example, if someone has an idea, and you don’t agree to it, say the pros and cons of it, and maybe add another idea that could further improve the original one.

  10. MYP Learning Outcomes Global Citizenship: I feel that the Global Citizenship learning outcome can be met by joining and participating in clubs that focus mainly on that. For example, free rice, and dragon’s den.
