  2. The maned wolf stands about 5 feet and 6 inches. It weighs about 50 pounds. It looks like a long legged fox, with redish brown hair, big ears, and a small mane. Description

  3. Why Are They Endangered? This wolf species is endangered because they don’t often mate but when they do, the females can have up to 2 large cubs. Another reason they are endangered is because farmers are burning down forests so, the wolves have nothing to eat.

  4. Where the maned wolf is located • The maned wolf species is located in the swampy areas and the open grasslands of Brazil.

  5. Food the maned wolf eats • The maned wolf species eats mammals, insects, birds, reptiles, fruits, and wild plants.

  6. Our opinion • We think the farmers should stop burning down the forests or else the maned wolf species will become extinct.
