  3. THE SIGHTS OF LONDON London, the capital of Great Britain is situated on the banks of the Thames. It is the  largest city in Britain and one of the largest in the world. Many tourists come to London to see famous sights: Trafalgar Square,Westminster Abbey,Tower Bridge,Big Ben and the Houses of Parliament, the Tower of London,and other. The Thames 

  4. Trafalgar squareis the geographical centre of London. It was named in memory of Admiral Nelson's victory in the battle of Trafalgar. The tall Nelson's Column stands in the centre of the square.On the north side of Trafalgar Square is the National Gallery

  5. TheTower of London is one of the oldest buildings in London. The Tower was a fortress, a palace, a prison and now it is a museum.

  6. Not far from the Tower of London is Tower Bridge. It connects the banks of the Thames with two towers, which are lighthouses. [laithauziz] - маяки.

  7. Westminster Abbey is a royal Church. Big Ben is one of the biggest clocks in the world.
