Background • Search of operation principle is the most laborious and long stage of designing of new devices. • At this stage a constructor should know: • Great number of physical phenomena which may be used, • Mathematical equations which describe them. • The constructor must compare great number of alternative variants and select the best one.

4. 300 < 3000 The number of physical phenomena and effects, which are objects of studying by future engineers, when they stay in high schools and later, in the course of their practical work, makes 200-300 modules of information More then 3000 physical phenomena and effects are known today in the world

Growth in the market will be derived from emerging application areas such as defense/aerospace, consumer goods, process/control, automation, medical and automotive markets.

Tasks • To systematize available knowledge in the sphere, to search, to compare and to classify analogues in order to select common features, benefits and shortcomings of the given approaches. • To elaborate and describe summarized model of knowledge representation taking into account specificity of requirements to the system. • Digital library of physical effects and phenomena • Module of sensor construction synthesis • Module of automated estimation of performance figures on a basis of the available expert data. • Module of secure access to system resources. • To collect data and to get expert group to fill the knowledge bank with initial data about physical effects and phenomena of different physical nature. At the moment authors have collected and elaborated description of 120 effects and phenomena. • To carry out alpha-testing with involving of the control expert group for estimation of the data putting in the system. • To put the complex into Internet\Intranet network for control exploitation in free running mode.

13. Why we need in EU partners… We don’t know well about invention support in EU We need to elaborate multi-language terminology base and scientific ontology for making knowledge base really actual and huge We need in support of qualified experts who will estimate characteristics of effects and help to fill base We need in support of test-group of engineers, who will try our system in real life and give ideas to it’s development We are planning to make international patent in case of success
